Hi! I'm Megan- a mixed up, faith filled, life lovin' mom of three with foster kids on the way. We are a transracial adoptive family made up of two biological children (Sadie-9 and Noah-6) and Miles (4) who was adopted in Feb. 2010 from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. We are a giant conglomerant of special needs and fun adventures. Let the good times roll. If you are new here, check out the "about us" tab and get to know us.
My mother is in Mexico and she is really on me to post pics of the new do! Thanks to all of you who voted. The overwhelming winner was "the Jessica". I think that my hairdresser thought I was a wackado when I handed her a picture and said, "Here's what was voted my new cut. Can you do this?" I went with light and dark highlights 'cause I'm indecisive like that. I am now wishing I would have gotten the bangs a little shorter so they stood out more, so I may go back in this week for a bangs trim. So- just for my mother- here are the before and after shots. Forgive the pic quality. I can't self picture with my nice camera because it is just too big and I was too embarrassed to recruit some help. So you are stuck with camera phone pics in my way too yellow bathroom. Sorry!
The scary, extra scraggly before
Here's my other hair conundrum. I usually schedule a haircut in the mornings. My hair gets a little greasy while I sleep and I always feel like I need to wash it before I go to the salon- knowing full well that they will wash my hair as soon as I get there. What is up with that? My brains screams, "Wait! Don't wash your hair! They will wash it for you!" But my vanity screams, "Oh dear God! Wash that hair ASAP before anyone in public has a chance to see it!" Sometimes I think it would have been way easier to have been born a man...
